Joining or starting a Thinking Matters chapter is an opportunity to grow in confidence in your faith, developing the ability to think clearly and articulate your beliefs in today’s cultural context. It connects you with a purposeful community of people committed to asking meaningful questions, sharpening one another, and engaging real-world issues like science, ethics, and worldview in an open, discussion-driven environment. Whether participating or leading, chapters provide a way to make a tangible local impact—creating spaces where others can explore faith, fostering thoughtful conversations, and building something that extends beyond the individual. For those who take the step to lead, it also offers a practical pathway into leadership, equipping you to facilitate, influence, and contribute to a wider national movement while shaping how it takes expression in your own context.

No Chapter in your area? Why not start one!
Thinking Matters Chapters can kick off with as few as five people. Your chapter might have a geographical focus, or be within your church, or have a special interest area such as a School or University.
Once your Chapter is established, Thinking Matters gives guidance and resources to support the formation, leadership, and content of your Chapter. You might go through a video learning series, invite guest speakers, band together with other chapters in close proximity to join for their combined speaker events. Chapter leaders and members will also receive invitations to leadership and apologetic development training at a reduced price, or sometimes for free.
