Last video we introduced the series we are starting today on the issue of abortion. Although it is complex, we will start by addressing what really is the central question that needs to be answered in this debate:
What is the entity inside the womb of a pregnant mother?
This is the most important question to ask because it is the question we would ask in any other scenario that involved destroying something. If a young child ran to their mother and said, “Mummy can I kill this?” The first question the mother would ask is “what is it?” If they showed her a mosquito I’m sure she’d say yes. If they showed her a spider, she might also agree.
But if the child was carrying their baby sister, the mother would be horrified and stop them immediately. So what’s inside a pregnant mother? Well, according to scientists and medical professionals, from the moment of conception, a pregnant mother is carrying a human life.
This is not something to ignore. This is a scientific fact which should awaken people to the seriousness of what abortion does. Whatever words we want to use to soften it, abortion does destroy an innocent human life – something we would consider a horrible injustice in any other scenario.
