You’re invited to an evening of thought-provoking talks exploring some of the most pressing questions about faith, science, and history. Together, we’ll tackle tough issues and uncover fresh reasons to be confident in the truth of Christianity.

Topics include:

Transhumanism, friend or foe?

Elon Musk has given us Tesla (the electric car) and Space X, but what motives lie behind these exciting new technological worlds? This month at Reasons for Faith Nick Goodwin will open up to us the world of Transhumanism and its implications.

Transhumanism represents both a continuation of humanity’s creative impulse and a potential rival to the Christian narrative of salvation and human purpose.

For Christians, it raises profound questions:

  • Where is the line between using technology responsibly and attempting to usurp God’s role?
  • What does it truly mean to be human?
  • Can technology save us — or only God?

Nick Goodwin, who has many roles one of which is university chaplain, will guide us through this  contemporary topic.

📍 Venue: Lady Goodfellow Chapel, University of Waikato Campus, Gate 1

Come ready to think deeply, ask questions, and be challenged. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
