Rowan Locke, originally from Upper Hutt, is the current CEO of Thinking Matters, a Christian apologetics ministry based in Tauranga. After joining the organization five years ago, he worked his way up the ranks to become Co-CEO last year and was recently appointed as the new CEO.

Rowan currently resides in Papamoa Beach with his beautiful wife Jessica and two young sons, and they often spend their private time enjoying the beach together. His passion for apologetics stems from negative experiences he had while sharing and arguing about Christianity in high school, and he is committed to equipping Kiwi Christians with the knowledge and skills they need to keep their faith and confidently share it with others.

Rowan Locke is deeply passionate about equipping Christians with conversational tools that can help them have more effective discussions with both believing and non-believing friends, family, colleagues, and strangers. He believes that these conversations are crucial for sharing the gospel and helping others come to a deeper understanding of the Christian faith.

Rowan’s goal is to help Christians overcome these barriers and become more effective communicators of the gospel. He believes that by providing them with the right tools and training, they can engage in conversations that are respectful, thoughtful, and persuasive. This is a key part of his vision for Thinking Matters, and he is committed to making it a reality for Christians throughout New Zealand.
